Michael Hall School provides a "broad and rich curriculum" which is "ambitious" and "leads to pupils achieving highly in public examinations" say Ofsted.
In its latest inspection Michael Hall School has been graded "good" by Ofsted. Inspectors commented that through the Steiner Waldorf ethos pupils "experienced and loved the opportunities for imagination, creativity and exploration"...... pupils are respectful, work hard and eagerly contribute".
Early years is a particular strength and in line with the Waldorf approach focuses on developing foundational skills, capacities and dispositions essential for future learning before starting formal learning at age six. At the heart of these foundational years is the ability to develop strong social skills and the ability to build friendships and work together: "In Kindergarten, children play happily together as staff skilfully nurture children’s relationships and interactions with each other".
