Early Childhood Centenary Conference

For 100 years, music and singing have been a signature practice in Waldorf Early Childhood settings; within kindergartens, parent-and-child groups, and home-based settings. Not only do we sing with the children, but we also sing together as adults, and recent research demonstrates how important this is for the wellbeing of everyone, children and adults – something we have always understood.

We are honoured that Philipp Reubke will be coming to the UK to give the keynote presentation at the conference, and we hope that as many Waldorf Early Childhood practitioners as possible will come together for a true celebration of 100 years of singing, friendship and inspiring practice.  This will be a conference for kindergarten staff, nursery practitioners, home childcare professionals, parent and child group leaders and students.

The afternoon will be devoted to workshops on developing our voices, using instruments with children, playing the lyre, singing with babies, music with 2‑year‑olds and more!  This will be followed by a celebratory tea and a wonderful eurythmy performance of The Firebird and Princess Vasilissa by the Peredur Eurythmy Ensemble.
