Meaning 'stream in the valley,' Nant-y-Cwm nestles in a valley on the banks of the Cleddau river. We are surrounded by orchards, fields and our community woodland where children spend time exploring and celebrating the natural world. Our purpose build Kindergarten building designed by Christopher Day stands close to the Victorian stone school house that was lovingly converted and extended by parents, friends and founders. Nant-y-Cwm has a dedicated staff body of qualified and experienced Waldorf teachers and a committed and active parent community.
Nant-y-Cwm provides an independent, pressure-free Waldorf education that values creativity, imagination and intuition. Surrounded by orchards and woodlands, we emphasise a child-centred and nature-based education where children have space to explore and discover who they are. Nant-y-Cwm seeks to educate thew whole child and all that we do seeks to nurture the academic, physical, emotional and spiritual development of each child. We aim to equip our young people with the skills to required to tackle the challenges of the 21st Century with responsibility, curiosity and creativity.
